The ECE department will hold a Graduate Seminar Series that requires mandatory attendance starting fall 2008 of all graduate students. There will be 6 to 8 seminars each semester. Seminar announcements will be sent by email and displayed on bulletin boards. Seminars would be given by invited speakers from academia and industry as well as by Ph.D. students nearing completion.

All graduate students should attend the seminars. A student cannot miss more than 2 seminars in a semester without prior approval from the Graduate Coordinator. If you are in special circumstances that will lead to your absence in more than two seminars in any semester, please write to the Graduate Coordinator about it in advance.

Each Ph.D. student is required to present one seminar in this series before completion of his/her Ph.D
