Assistant or Associate Professor, Tenure-Track (Position #4356)
The UNC Charlotte Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering invites applications for tenure-track Assistant or Associate Professor starting in Fall 2017. Specific areas of interest are in computer engineering, including, but not limited to, software defined networking, compiler and programming models, machine learning, hardware security, heterogeneous computing, and cyber-physical systems. Candidates should demonstrate a commitment to excellence in teaching and the capability to develop a strong research program complementary to the department. Faculty duties include teaching at the undergraduate and graduate levels, development of sponsored research programs, supervision of student research, and academic services. A Ph.D. degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering or related areas is required. The ECE department offers B.S. degrees in both Electrical Engineering and Computer Engineering, and M.S. and Ph.D. degrees, with approximately 580 undergraduate and 250 graduate students; see http://ece.uncc.edu.
