Mentoring

MENTORING

At any time during the academic year when a student wants to seek information and guidance from a faculty member in their area of interest, they are encouraged to seek individual appointments with one of the mentors listed in that area. Some of the objectives of mentoring are:

  • Obtain information on technical contents of electives and continuation courses on specific areas of interest
  • Learning about career prospects and opportunities in the area of interest
  • Learning about research directions and ongoing research projects in the department
  • Assistance with planning for graduate school

Faculty Mentors: Provide advising for long-term planning and career development. Mentors are grouped in the following interest areas.
